On a random Saturday morning in July, we packed up and headed to Esther Short Park to visit our local Farmer's Market. It just happened to be that the Firefighters of Vancouver where holding their annual Fire in the Park (which I think is a fundraiser for the union??? but I am not sure). There were agility competitions amongst the firefighters, kid games, a chili cook off, old fire engines, a bounce house, and a Scottish marching band - complete with bagpipes and kilts. We had a great time enjoying the festivities and eating fresh blueberries.
