So, after seeing family this Christmas and not hearing the ending of it for not updating the blog as frequently as I should be...I am at last trying to finish up the blog from this Summer. Carla this is for you!
Holly's Wedding
In mid July we traveled up North for Holly Edward's wedding. The Edward's and our family met when Nick (Holly's older brother) and I were three. They have been a constant in our lives ever since. Holly and Will were married in a beautiful State Park on July 16th (I believe). These are pictures of us setting up the reception site prior to the wedding...I am not sure where the pictures are of the actual wedding.
Casey's First Birthday
Casey celebrated his first birthday on July 30th. Of course we held it at his favorite place to play...KIDSPACE! Because we call him our "Bug," we did a Very Hungry Caterpillar theme. Or rather...a Very Hungry Casey-pillar! Thank you to Aunt Cori for making the most adorable cupcakes. After celebrating with friends and family at Kidspace, we went back to MaDaa's and Bumpa's for a pizza party and more hang out time. It was a great day for us and for Casey. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it so special!

For party bags I made caterpillar sock puppets and fruit that the caterpillar could "eat." We then read the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and the kids had fun acting it out with their puppets.

Trip to the Zoo
This summer MaDaa, Casey, Kelly (A grade school-er I babysat every Monday this Summer), Trish and Lola, and myself enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the Zoo. Casey really enjoyed riding the train!

Durand Family Reunion
Every Summer Mike's mom's side of the family gets together for a family reunion. This year we camped on the Santiam River in a State Park near Lebanon. We had great weather...the river was cold for Case and I so we just waded around, but most of the family enjoyed riding the gentle rapids and floating the river.

Crescent Lake
In mid August we enjoyed an amazing week at Crescent Lake. We stayed in a cabin with MaDaa and Bumpa and Ty and Cori. Because of the amount of snowfall the lake was really high and beach was hard to find. The staff at the lodge said they hadn't seen the lake that high ever! We made the best of it though. We brought Oasis Island (a huge inflatable raft) and had a really relaxing week.
