One evening Mom, Dad, Casey and I went and picked up Mike at OHSU and went out to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Casey took his first ride on the tram along with Grandma and Grandpa. We took a nice stroll along the river before dinner. As always the food was delicious!
After I posted this, Mom reminded me of the funniest part of the evening....
Mike had finished eating and was keeping Casey occupied on his lap while the rest of us finished up our dessert. Casey's shoe had fallen off his foot and on to the floor a few inches away from Mike's chair. With Casey in one arm Mike braced himself to lean over to pick up the shoe; however, it was farther away than what he thought so he leaned over farther. He was leaning so far over that the legs of his chair were beginning to lift off the ground, then he could sense that something wasn't quite right and he tried to get his foot in front of him before he toppled over but his foot was caught in a chair leg...and then BOOM! Mike and Casey were both on the floor (both fine) and Mom, Dad and I (along with the majority of the people sitting next to us) were all staring at Mike our jaws on the floor. As I write it is seems like it all happened in slow motion, but really it was in one second Mike and Casey were at the table talking and the next they were on the floor! The whole story still makes me laugh today!
